AI on your device
Questions and answers use only Apple’s on-device model. No external AI service processes your exploration.
Sources when you want them
When enabled, searches send the topic and, without supporting text, question keywords to Wikipedia and GDELT. These providers receive your IP address and normal connection data under their policies. Supporting text and the full map are not sent. Opening a source visits that publisher’s website.
Your maps stay here
Maps, supporting text and source excerpts stay in the app’s local storage, subject to your system backup settings. Deleting the app deletes its local data; manage backups separately in system settings. We operate no server receiving your maps.
Restore purchases
Apple processes payments and links purchases to your Apple Account. Flake reads verified StoreKit transactions to unlock access and support restoration and refunds. It does not receive your card details.
Public search providers may retain search and connection logs, use IP addresses to infer approximate location, and use those records for service operation, security and aggregate analysis under their own policies. Flake does not use advertising identifiers or track you across apps. Turn web search off to avoid these optional requests.
